In the Destiny 2 Season of the Witch Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning activities, you’ll find Opaque Cards floating around. The only problem is these Opaque Cards require an Arc, Void, or Solar Attunement before you can collect them. Here’s how to get an Arc Attunement, Solar Attunement, and Void Attunement in Destiny 2.

Arc Attunement, Solar Attunement, Void Attunement in Destiny 2, Explained

Guardians can choose their first Elemental Attunement during Week 2 of The Bladed Path Seasonal quest line. After an incredible cutscene explaining Sword Logic from the increasingly fearsome Eris Morn, players can choose between the following Attunements: Arc Attunement, Void Attunement, or Solar Attunement.

Choosing to attune to an element will not immediately grant you Attunement. You need to complete a handful of tasks before you become officially attuned. Hive magic requires a little bit of effort, after all.

Once you’ve chosen your Attunement, you will be given a quest to defeat enemies using your selected element in Savathun’s Throne World or seasonal activities. Equip a weapon or subclass of your choice, launch Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning, and get to work.

With that objective completed, head to the Lost Sector marked in Savathun’s Throne World. That’s Metamorphosis for Solar, Sepulcher for Void, and Extraction for Arc.

Solar, Arc, and Void Rune Locations

Inside the marked Lost Sector, you’ll find Hive runes glowing with your chosen element. Shoot each plate with a weapon matching the element, then Invoke Hive Magic to complete the quest. You don’t need to complete the Lost Sector itself.

360GameTV on YouTube has an incredible video on the locations of each Rune, as some Runes can be particularly tricky to find. As someone who chose Void, I was utterly baffled until I realized there was a final Rune on the door behind me.

Should you Choose Arc, Void, or Solar Attunement in Destiny 2?

Eventually, Guardians will be able to attune with all Elements in Destiny 2. However, choosing an element that matches your build is the best option when selecting your first Elemental Attunement. As a lover of Null Composure, I choice Void as my first Attunement.

This makes the required quests far easier, and you’ll also benefit more from the respective Elemental Attunement Major Arcana card.

How to Get Solar, Void, and Arc Attunement Cards

Once Attuned, return to the HELM and visit the Lectern to obtain a new Major Arcana quest. Defeat even more enemies with your chosen element, and you’ll get an attunement Major Arcana card.

• Void Attunement, Lacuna — Dealing Void damage adds Suppression.
• Arc Attunement, Liminal — Dealing Arc damage adds Jolt.
• Solar Attunement, Ascension — Dealing Solar damage adds Scorch.

Now that you’ve become attuned don’t forget to pick up each hidden Opaque Card in Savathun’s Spire and Altats of Summoning. These cards require a specific Elemental Attunement and provide rewards such as Ascendant Shards and Engrams.
