Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 240 Leaks: Kenjaku and Takaba Engage in an Epic War of Trolling

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter Chapter 240 opens with a flashback that shows Yuji Itadori’s allies agreeing to ambush Kenjaku while Sukuna is busy fighting Satoru Gojo. The reincarnated sorceress Angel advocates sending Takaba to fight Kenjaku, saying that Takaba’s cursed technique is unusual even by cursed technique standards and might give him an edge.

The chapter then cuts back to the fight between Kenjaku and Takaba. As his attacks continue to bounce off Takaba, Kenjaku realizes that the comedian’s cursed technique allows him to impose his imagination onto reality and notes that he’s never seen a cursed technique like it before. Unfortunately, Takaba isn’t interested in capitalizing on Kenjaku’s confusion, as he instead decides to try and make the villainous sorcerer laugh by whipping out his signature “don’t marry me, I don’t want you as my Wi-Fi” joke.

Completely unamused by Takada’s pun, Kenjaku assumes the role of a comedy club heckler and meticulously explains why Takada’s bit isn’t funny. An embarrassed Takada is punched in the gut before he can retort, with Kenjaku musing that Takaba’s ability only works if he’s confident in himself. Takaba attempts to regain his composure by challenging Kenjaku to a funny face-off, only to be soundly defeated when the ancient sorcerer makes a side-splitting grimace that puts anything Takaba could have done to shame.

Thrown next to the corpse of his ally, Iori Hazenoki, Takaba stares up at Kenjaku, who asks why Takaba is here. The chapter ends with Takaba pondering this question, seemingly remembering back to the moment he chose to become a comedian.

Will Takaba Turn the Tables on Kenjaku?

The ending of Jujtusu Kaisen Chapter 240 doesn’t bode well for Takaba, whose ability is all but useless now that he’s doubting his skill as a comedian. However, Angel’s assertion that Takaba can hold his own against Kenjaku hints that there might be something more to his ability than meets the eye. With Takaba apparently about to reflect on his roots, the comedian may be poised to make a comeback that could catch Kenjaku off-guard and give him a fighting chance.
